7 Things I’m Loving for November

What I’m Reading: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. My favorite book for a million reasons. My book club finally got tired of hearing me talk about it and agreed to read it for this month. Hooray!

What’s Next in my TBR: The Perfect Love Song, Patti Callahan Henry. I read ALL the PCH, and this lovely Christmas novella is just what I’m looking for to get me in the holiday spirit!

What I’m Listening To: Oprah and Deepak Chopra’s Free Meditation Experience The Path To Empowerment. I do an Oprah and Deepak Meditation every single day, and I think it’s a game changer. A free one is a great way to get started!

What I’m Watching: Modern Love on Amazon, which is based on the NYT Modern Love Columns. Incidentally, my 2021 novel is sort of based on a Modern Love Column gone wrong, (Not a real one… One I made up!) so I’m loving this!

What I’m Eating: Pumpkin-Egg “Pancakes.” 3 eggs (or 2 eggs and 2 whites) + 1/2 banana + 1/4 cup pumpkin + cinnamon. Mix it up, cook it like pancakes and serve with Lakanto Monkfruit Syrup. It’s so delish, totally paleo (I’m not, but I know a lot of people are!) and a great way to curb the pumpkin spice craving!

What I’m Buying: This amazing Thankful Bowl from Waiting on Martha. We all know gratitude changes everything, and this darling bowl gets the whole family in on the fun.

What I’m Looking Forward To: Filming an episode of one of my favorite shows, NC Bookwatch, with the one and only DG Martin. I’ll keep you posted on the air date!

If you’re one of those super early holiday shoppers (Guilty!) don’t forget The Peachtree Bluff Series! Books make great gifts and provide hours of enjoyment that will last long after they are unwrapped. (Signed copies are available from Beaufort Linen Co., Porter Co. Book Shoppe, Dee Gee’s Gifts & Books, and The Country Bookshop.

Feels Like Falling releases April 28, 2020! It’a never to early to preorder from your favorite local bookstore or retailer!

  • FAntastic ideas!

I bought the candace cameron bure Star of Christmas Geometric ornament from DAyspring. It’s a very simplistic moravian star–those are my favorite–for my birthday.
