It has been the most wonderful couple of weeks! Going on book tour has been everything I had imagined and so much fun! Here are a few of my favorite moments from the past few days! Getting to go on Fox News 8 to talk about the Dear Carolina!
Making the Rowan County bestsellers list! Woo hoo! It’s a start!
It has been such a fun couple of weeks, and I have had such a blast getting to meet Dear Carolina readers — especially some fabulous blog friends! The signing at Barnes & Noble in Charlotte day before yesterday was so much fun! I got to hang out with the fab Traci Zeller from Traci Zeller Designs…
Have a wonderful visit with the amazing and lovely Lisa Mende from Lisa Mende Designs…
And meet beautiful Brenna from Domestic Charm and her precious daughter Finley. Finley is so smart and so adorable. She studied my pile of books and, so smartly, said, “Does your hand get tired from having to write that book over and over again?” Is that the cutest ever? I told her all about the cool machine that keeps me from having to do that, and then felt very grateful for it! So thoughtful and so introspective. This girl has big things in her future!
Oh… And I got to sign a book for NC Governor Pat McCrory’s wife. So that was pretty awesome.
Yesterday, Winder GA’s Corner Bookstore gave me a wonderful Winder welcome. I got to meet so many lovely ladies — including the ever-amazing Patty (in the floral dress to my left!) from Patty’s Epiphonies! We “chat” every day, so it was so fun to finally put a face with a name! We had a terrific visit and even got to meet sweet M.C.!
Every day since Dear Carolina has come out has held a fun and wonderful adventure. This is a picture from my Greensboro, NC signing at Scuppernong Books with my precious cousins Catherine and Raymond.
There’s nothing like the support of your family and friends to make you feel incredibly grateful! This is an amazing ride that keeps getting better! Thank you so much for being such amazing Design Chic readers and for being so great about my new adventure!
