Hi friends! I’m so excited to tell you that the audio rights for Dear Carolina have been purchased, which means it will be available on audiobook and MP3 very, very soon! Yay! So if you’re looking for something to listen to on your daily commute or that l-o-n-g drive to the beach this summer, keep Dear Carolina in mind.
I can’t wait to hear it out loud, find out who will be narrating it and so many other fun details. This has been a year full of firsts, and it is so much fun!
To whet your appetite, here’s a little peek at what I envision one of the main character Khaki’s homes to look like!
I think it’s normal for writers to envision every part of their novels. The characters, their hair colors, their mannerisms, their day to day routines…
But, when you’re a design blogger, you can’t help but dream about their homes!
Khaki and her husband Graham live in a gorgeous farmhouse that is new but with rustic touches.
And, of course, with Khaki being a designer, it’s fabulous! She loves natural fiber rugs and thinks they add a family-friendly laid back style.
And thinks that family meals around the table are a crucial part of the home, whether they’re for their immediate family…
Or the extended family celebrations with her parents right down the road, in the gorgeous home-of-our-imaginations!
Khaki loves a bright, white kitchen and is a sucker for white marble.
And we can picture her sweet kiddos all piled up around this breakfast banquette.
We adore a canopy bed, and we think this one would be right up Khaki’s alley!
And a fabulous bath fit for two would be the perfect place for she and Graham to get ready to face the day ahead together.
We can completely see Alex, Khaki’s son, having sleepovers in this adorable bedroom.
And this is most certainly a kid-friendly bath. We love to display kids’ art, and Khaki is nothing if not a sucker for her kids. She would adore having their art hanging all over the place!
Every farm needs a fabulous garden sink and area. We can see Graham washing up here after a long day on the farm. Or Khaki prepping flowers for a fabulous soiree — or just a fun night at home!
And, of course, Khaki and Graham’s chicken coop would be just as charming as their home! To learn more about Khaki, her home, her family and the way she completes it, be sure to check out Dear Carolina.
Have a wonderful weekend!
So exciting to hear about the audiobook! Lovely home, but where is baby Carolina’s room?
