New York + Savannah + My NYC TV Debut!

What a week! If you know me, you know that NYC is one of my most favorite places in all the world. Not only does it remind me of childhood (We lived there half the time when I was little!), but it is also where all my biggest dreams have come true–and still continue to. I had the most fun few days hanging out with friends, filming promo videos for Feels Like Falling, meeting with my Simon & Schuster team about Feels Like Falling’s release…

And making my NYC TV debut at NBC’s New York Live! I had a ball and can’t wait to go back!

So, this was, for sure, without a doubt, one of the highlights of my trip. When you walk in the huge, glittering Simon & Schuster building on 6th Avenue, there’s a display case front and center. This year, for the first time ever, it was full of my books! I couldn’t believe it. It totally took my breath away.

From there, I headed to Savannah. Savannah absolutely must be one of the most gorgeous cities in the country–and my first visit to the Savannah Book Festival was just amazing! Visiting the Flannery O’Connor House…

Hanging out with the coolest authors around–like John Grisham!

And having ice creams named after us and our books at the famous Leopold’s! That’s about as good as it gets.

And, of course, speaking there was pretty cool too! It was a fantastic week, but we all know there’s no place like home. I was so happy to get back to Beaufort, my boys and our belated Valentine’s Day celebration. My 2021 novel, Under the Southern Sky, is due next week, so I’ll be doing my favorite thing–writing, writing, writing–until then! Wishing you all a wonderful day!
