Read Your Okra!

I can’t believe it, but, in only three days, Lies and Other Acts of Love will be hitting the shelves! So it felt like a big, huge gift when I got the news that my brand new book baby is one of the Southern indie bookseller’s Okra Picks! Being on this list of the twelve upcoming books that booksellers are most excited about was one of my biggest dreams when I found out I was getting published, so, when I heard the news yesterday, I had to make sure it wasn’t an April Fools joke!

Other picks include Last Ride to Graceland by my friend Kim Wright, A Thousand Miles from Nowhere by John Gregory Brown, released by the amazing Lee Boudreaux Books, and Redemption Road by the super talented John Hart, a fellow Salisburian with four New York Times bestsellers and two Edgar Awards under his belt. Like my favorite booksellers, I’m so excited to read all of the books on this list!

In other news, we can’t wait to cheer our Tar Heels to VICTORY tonight in the Final Four! Counting down the hours until the big game! Who do you think will win that National Championship?
