The Biggest Adventure You Can Take is to Live the Life of Your Dreams! This latest print from my friend Maghon at All She Wrote Notes seemed like a great reminder and a perfect way to start the week. Because it’s so easy to let the “shoulds” and other people’s opinions of what our lives are supposed to look like dictate what we do.
What we do for work. How we raise our children. Where we live. What we do in our free time. What we’re passionate about. They are big, giant, immensely important parts of life, and it’s so easy to get bogged down in what everyone else is going to think instead of pursuing our passions.
I got to spend some time with my high school friends this weekend at a good friend’s wedding. It’s always a total treat to see these people that I grew up with, to see their lives evolving, to watch them fall in love, start careers and keep searching until the find the right thing. Keep moving until they find the right place. Keep dreaming and switching it up until it feels authentic. And it’s always a reminder of my younger self, that little girl who had the whole world stretched out in front of her, who had nothing but choices and options and dreams to pursue.
I’ve caught a lot of those dreams this year, but remembering that younger self, getting to feel like her for a time, it’s always a reminder to keep searching, to keep looking, to keep living until it feels just right. No matter what age we are, it’s never to late to start that adventure. It’s never too late to live the life of your dreams!
Speaking of dreams, thanks so much to one of my faves, The Glitter Guide, for choosing DEAR CAROLINA as one of its Must-Reads for June! Hooray!
Beautifully said! We are constantly evolving over our lives. I hope never to say “I’m done!” We should always be looking at new and different challenges.
